The Wannabe kids finally get a day off of work.

Well, actually, the tires for the Saturday work project did not show up, so what was supposed to be done on Saturday was impossible.

So - QUICK! Run off to the river for the boat races.

But really, the people love us. And they tell us that we are their favorite of all of the photographers in attendance.

Can I get an Amen?

Thanks!

It really took some time to brush off the rust and actually get some good photos.

We only had enough film for each of us to take 48 photos, so we really had to be picky with what we shot.

Only the home run photos with the very best of boats, action and people. Don't waste film!

But then we get to the point of which picture is really better, and which should we include. I never know.

With tough decisions like this, my head is going to explode.

I have a great idea. I will ask for the help of some of the best brains in the industry when it comes to boats.

With dudes like this around, I have nothing to fear. They will certainly guide me in the right direction.

Uh, Carl - including them all is not an great option. I don't have that much space on my computer stuff. They limit my size unless I want to spend real money.

Well, maybe I will need some more help as the photos go on. Maybe I can find someone with a better eye.

Some of the film we shot was so old that it actually went black and white on us in the dark room.

Simple shots with little color always seem to be a good standard to start off the day.

Carl just informed me that we are out of money to post all of the photos that he wants, so here is a propeller I made.

It is up for sale to the highest bidder. Say- 50 bucks?

It has only been in the water two times. Both of the boats crashed and splintered, but I did save the prop both times, so who is a go for this baby at $50?

Does anyone else feel a new avatar coming on?

Hey black and white Charlie, are you going to win SuperStock and K-boat this weekend?

Thumbs up. I like the confidence.

And just for the Jerk . . .

Representin' and shiznit!

O.K. Now we have a good boat mind to help us with the photos and artsy fartsy stuff.

(this guy must be a rainbow painter)

Woooah! Easy there fella.

Hey ducks - Rattle Can is going to help me out. Can you pose for a quick picture with him?

Even a beginner like me can appreciate a full custom and one off cavitation plate system made almost entirely out of titanium.

That is right, ti plates and all. Just about nothing that this system can't tame.

I think it was on the back of this boat if I remember correctly. . .

Hey, a slight runner bottom idea to this baby. Cool!

This guy won multiple awards during the weekend. The first was the coolest superstock scoop award.

But the bigger award was the comeback award after a long rehab from a boat crash two years ago at long beach.

This was his first time back in a boat and did rather well.

It drove his wife to drink. But she went out and bought herself a new Corvette. So that is cool.

"Hey everyone; I have figured out how to keep up with Rankin in the superstocks. Let's fill his whole boat with water. :)

Oh, and yeah, Do you like my headband? RCL told me it makes me look sexy. and thinner."

Uh, guys . . . That may be a little much.

Steve ran good. I was quite impressed with the first time boat on the water.

A little ginger in the corners, but really steamed the thing in the straights.

"Hey! Duck! Come back! Rattle Can was just joking around."

One of the coolest stories of the weekend was this warrior.

A boat that has certainly been around the block with the new shoe/owner showing us all how it is done.

He barely was squeaked off the podium for the finals on Sunday.

It was a little ugly at times, but the guy acted like a true professional.

I was told that I can put any caption I want under this photo.

Cuz - you know. . . We are friends now. :)
